Stop the Sea Blasts Campaign

The Stop Sea Blasts campaign has succeeded in achieving a change in Government policy towards the way unexploded ordnance is cleared from the seabed towards a preference for using more environmentally friendly methods. Within the space of a year, we took an issue that was not on anyone in Westminster’s radar, and forced it up the political agenda to achieve change. We achieved this goal by using a range of campaigning techniques, including traditional public affairs tactics, celebrity endorsements, broadcast and print media engagement, and direct public pressure.
