Wagatha Christie: Winning the wag war

Dubbed the UK’s ‘libel trial of the century’, law firm Brabners and its comms agency Citypress played an influential role in the #WagathaChristie case after being appointed to lead Coleen Rooney’s defence.

In a case delivered against a backdrop of intense media scrutiny, and starting eight months behind Team Vardy, Citypress and Brabners devised a campaign that would return the media narrative to the realities of the case; flip public opinion in favour of Coleen; and generate major profile and commercial opportunities for the firm.
