#Scrap6Months

Marie Curie and the Motor Neurone Disease Association campaigned to #Scrap6Months, the cruel law that prevented 100 dying people a month from accessing financial support. No one should die in poverty or spend their final days fighting the system when they should be spending time with the people they love. Following campaign pressure, the UK Government announced it would #Scrap6Months on July 8 2021. More dying people will now get the financial support they need before they die. This was kept on the Government’s agenda despite the challenges of the pandemic.
